Fabulous Villa in a fabulous location.
From my very first enquiry I could tell that Cheryl was a lovely lady. All emails were answered quickly. We had never been to Playa Blanca before , nor had we ever stayed in a villa. We arrived on October 1st 2020 for what should of been originally a four week stay. The villa is situated in Faro park. To us this is the perfect place as we loved the three mile walk into town along the sea walk where there are plenty of places to sit and have a drink ( or two ) along the way. If walking is not your thing then there are plenty of buses that are always on time to take you to any part of Playa Blanca ( cost is €1.40 ) The buses run quite late at night or there are plenty of taxi jotted around the town centre. Most we paid was €6.00 . If you dont fancy going into town on an evening then there is ample places to go on Faro park itself. There is a well stocked supermarket and a well stocked shop that sells every known alcohol, all at reasonable prices, you can also change money in this shop. Now on to the best bit ... The Villa, Wow, just Wow. Three very good sized bedrooms, two with single beds in them ( x2 ) then the master bedroom with the biggest bed I've ever slept in, it was huge, and so comfortable . The master has an en-suite in it , plus more storage space than you need. All three bedrooms have air con. The living room is huge, with a full TV package , there is also many DVDs plus an xbox and games . Upon arrival we met the Villa manager Jayne, such a lovely lady, nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a boiler leak at 8pm on a Friday night, by early afternoon the next day a new boiler was installed. When she says she was only a phone call away, she meant it. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could possible want in it and more. There was even a washing machine and a dryer . I dont like to say " The best bit " because the whole villa is special but, the best bit has got to be the outside area. There is ample seating and sunbathing furniture, there are 8 sunloungers, a huge dining table and chairs, and two lots of rattan furniture. There is also plenty of space to sit in the shade too. The pool was kept spotlessly clean. Mitch comes in twice a week to clean it. Mitch too is a fantastic guy again, nothing and I mean nothing was too much trouble for him. Mid clean we had a Calima and the pool was quite heavy with dust , we phoned Mitch and he came around to sort it out. It's a heated pool and the temperature was just perfect. It's also quite a large pool. The villa has gardens around it, which is beautifully kept by Lauren, again, such a lovely man. Quite often we were more than happy to just stay in at night , put all the outside lights on and just sit comfortably on the seating with a bottle of wine ( or two ) There was also a decent sized fridge outside which hubby really appreciated as it saved him a journey to the kitchen when topping up the drinks. The villa was spotlessly clean , the linen and towels are changed every week. There was also towels to use on the sunbeds too. The housecoats and slippers provided for our use are also a lovely touch. Because of covid and us not wanting to go back to the UK we ended up staying here in this villa for six months , thankfully (for us) all the guests that were booked in over the course of the six months we were there had to cancel. Cheryl the owner kept in touch with us throughout the whole time we were there. My one and only negative thing I would say is that I think a water filter would be great so that we have drinking water on tap. However I do think I'm only saying this because we were there that long and we are so use to having drinking water on tap. This villa is absolutely beautiful, it was everything it says in the advert and more. Thank you very much Cheryl for letting us share your beautiful villa.

Fantastic Villa!
August 2019 What a wonderful holiday experience from start to finish. Communication has been excellent from booking to arrival at the villa. The villa was outstanding and every bit as described by Cheryl. It catered for everyone in our party, from a teenager to elderly parents. The pool was fantastic and set in wonderful surroundings!! The supermarket and restaurants nearby were excellent. The bus service and taxis into Playa Bianca were cheap and reliable. Villa Carlara is the ideal villa for a family holiday. We have stayed in the area before in similar villas and can say this is the best villa to date. The little touches on offer make all the difference and would stay there again.

Having previously stayed a few times in Faro Park we knew the location would be great , but i was slightly concerned that all the reviews were so good. Having stayed there for 10 days i can see why. This is a lovely villa set in a wonderful garden. We might have been lucky with sunshine for most of our stay , but the setup with the pool is so great that all we wanted to so was sit and enjoy it. There were six adults ( two families of three) and there was enough room for all of us both outside and just occasionally in. We will definitely be back for some winter sun in the future, and hope Cheryl has some unlet days.

Mooi verzorgde villa in een rustige omgeving met verwarmd privé zwembad. Zalig genieten. restaurants en cafe's juist om de hoek. op een vijftal minuten rijden van het centrum van Playa Blanca. Eigenaars zijn zeer prettig om mee samen te werken. voor de opvang bij aankomst zijn er personen voorzien die je de nodige uitleg kunnen geven hoe alles werkt. Ligstoelen en kussens zijn van hoge kwaliteit, badkamers allemaal helemaal in orde. Je kan zelfs kiezen tussen een bad te nemen of een douche. alles is echt aanwezig. Zalig om 's morgens van een ontbijt te genieten onder de patio aan een zeer mooie rustieke houten tafel. TV en DVD is aanwezig. wij konden zelfs naar één en canvas kijken. Wifi werkt meer dan behoorlijk. als we ooit nog terug gaan naar Lanzarote, zal deze villa terug op ons verlanglijstje staan, zeker weten.

My husband, elderly parents and I travelled to Villa Carlara for the 1st time together. We had a fantastic holiday, very relaxing and all needs catered for. The villa is very well equipped for a fun holiday. The welcome pack was appreciated and I thought that the pool/beach equipment provided is great for young families. The full Sky TV pack is also a very good addition to the property.

AMAZING 5 STAR VILLA
From the moment we booked we knew we were going to have a wonderful time and we really did. Villa Carlara was exactly as described, so spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything you could ever need. The kitchen was stocked with everything, the welcome gifts were amazing, the beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels and the robe and slippers were a lovely touch. The pool and outdoor area was perfect and the sun lounger cushions were just heaven. The Garden is a real sun trap and very sheltered from the breeze which was wonderful. It's really peaceful and the shops nearby were great, we loved getting our fresh croissants every morning from the bakery. We really enjoyed our stay, and we highly recommend this Villa, thank you so much, we can't wait to book up again for next year.

This is a huge, very well equipped and comfortable villa with lots of sunny outside space. In a great position with more than enough on the doorstep and plenty more just a beautiful stroll away along the coast or via the frequent bus service. I really enjoyed my stay here & recommend it to anyone.

We had a great time
We have just returned from a week at Villa Carlara and had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. The villa itself is in a lovely quiet area but within easy reach of several shops and restaurants that are just a 5 minute walk away. Everything has been thought of here to make your stay more comfortable. There is a well stocked kitchen with every piece of crockery and utensil you could need and lots of fluffy towels available - there were even robes and slippers for everyone, including the children! There is lots of space to relax around the pool with lovely sun loungers and a great BBQ. Everything was spotless and the pool was cleaned twice during our stay. The gardens around the property are very well maintained and there is a nice terrace area that provides shade throughout the day. There is a well stocked DVD collection and lots of books and magazines, a hairdryer and straightening irons, even some adapter plugs to use if needed. The washing machine and tumble dryer were handy and meant that I didn't have to bring lots of dirty washing back home! We had 4 young children in our party and the layout of the villa worked very well for us as everyone is on the same level and a travel cot, z beds and high chair etc were all provided. We had a great time at this villa and would definitely recommend it!

We had a second visit to Carlara in June this year and thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks. Once again the standard of the villa was excellent as was the support from the owner and her on site team. It was so easy to just relax and enjoy the well maintained heated pool when ever we felt like it. Jayne, the villa manager, was very supportive and helped with a fairly big shop before we arrived so no heavy lifting from the shop necessary. Cheryl is always looking for ways to improve what is already an excellent and comfortable three bed villa. Very much looking forward to returning in the future.

An excellent holiday in a very well presented villa
We spent a glorious ten days at Villa Carlara in what was our first experience in a private villa rental. This was a marked departure from our normal timeshare holidays that we have taken over the past twenty four years and we found it very revealing as to what is real quality. The villa has three bedrooms and was actually too big for the two of us but we like plenty of space. The first thing we noticed on arrival was that everything was exactly as described on the website we had booked from. It was advertised as 5*, would we agree with that rating – definitely! The whole space was very roomy, light and airy, the garden area was spacious and well kept and the private heated pool looked so inviting. Decoration throughout was fresh and bright. The kitchen was perhaps over equipped with glassware, tableware for villa and pool area that was of very high quality. It was very well equipped with electrical appliances and had a separate utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. The bedrooms were large and well appointed, each looking out on the pool area. The master bedroom that we used had a high vaulted ceiling, a separate dressing area, en suite bathroom, air conditioning, designer bedding and a memory foam mattress that was extremely comfortable and assured us of a good night’s sleep every night. The two other bedrooms had two single beds each, again with air conditioning. There were two bathrooms and a separate toilet that were very well equipped. One bathroom had a toilet and walk in shower that was very handy for my wife who has mobility problems. The other that was en suite with the main bedroom had a bath, toilet and bidet as well. Each area was spotlessly decorated in marble with really thick luxurious towels provided. The lounge was again very large with three settees, a very big flat screen TV with many Sky channels, DVD player with a multitude of DVD,s, internet router, X-Box with games and a CD player. There was also a separate atrium laid out as a dining area that got very hot during the day. The outside area was where we spent most of our time, mostly under a solid wood canopy that overlooked the pool that was heated at a comfortable 28-31 degrees each day and was cleaned and checked twice a week. There was also a huge dining table with eight solid wood chairs under the canopy as well as a rattan chair, table and settee set, all complete with cushions. The garden had lots of colour mainly from oleanders, bouganvilla and hibiscus that were all in full bloom. A barbecue area was also provided. While we spent most of our time at the villa just relaxing we did manage two days out in the main town of Playa Blanca where there was a multitude of different shops and restaurants that saw us enjoy a couple of good Tapas meals and a bag of souvenirs. The local area offered a range of restaurants, patisserie, small supermarkets that were quite well stocked and reasonably priced. These were all within five minutes of the villa. There was also a bus stop where the busses run every thirty minutes to the main town for a cost of 1.35 euros. A taxi back from the town cost 5 euros. We found that correspondence with the owner was very easy and she was extremely helpful and attentive both before and after our holiday. The manager of the property, Jayne, made contact early in the holiday, helped with a few queries we had and offered any support we might need during our stay. Everything was well organised so we had no need to bother them. The pool was cleaned and checked twice weekly and again we found Steven who cleaned the pool very helpful and friendly. Overall it was an excellent holiday in a very well presented villa and we really hope to go back again soon.

A joy !
Excellent start to the year - we arrived for a week in Jan 4th. Just me and my lovely wife, after the family Christmas binge !. It was lovely to sit around as we would at home. But in shorts, enjoying the sunshine (Weather in UK was really wet at this time). Excellent for nice meals out or homely enough to stay in and watch a film with a bottle of wine. A joy !

A superb villa
A superb villa,very well equiped. very spacious, ideal for 3 couples like us plenty space for the sun worshippers and plenty of shade for the not so fond of the sun. Outside dining area was used for all our meals, and ideal for sitting out late at night having a drink. Air con in bedrooms was just what was needed. Very handy for the nearby bars a restaurants and the Bakers shop. All in all a great holiday and no doubt we will be back.

Beautiful villa and good privacy
As soon as you enter Carlara you will feel at home! Beautiful villa and good privacy. Only a few minutes walk to the promenade which takes you into Playa Blanca, but also only a few minutes to a couple of good restaurants and small supermarket and excellent bakery. The pool was like getting into a bath! Would recommend this villa to family and friends.

Does what it says on the can! Lovely villa, perfect location. The extras may seem just little additions but to have snuggly robes and slippers to slide into when emerging from the heated pool and a sunny atrium to read and sip sundowners in means you make most of the sunshine on cooler or windy spring days. Local property maintenance company made sure uprooted cacti, dust filled pool and tripping air con systems as result of huge storm were all sorted out quickly. Highly recommended.

2 fabulous weeks at Carlara
We have just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at Carlara. It really is now the benchmark for future holidays. Communications with Cheryl were excellent as was the management team of John and Jayne on the island. The villa is pretty private compared to many of the other villas in Faro Park which is a real plus point. The bakery, bars and in particular the 'Italian' just 5 mins walk away are superb. The half hourly bus was good and the cheap taxis were useful as we hate driving when on holiday. On the day of our arrival and for the first 3 days the temperature and humidity were stifling and a useful addition would have been a ceiling fan in the spacious lounge thus allowing for the doors to remain open. The A/C in the bedroom was much appreciated.

Fantastic villa...Stayed here twice and already trying to book again for next year. Everything in this villa is quality, after staying in many villas in Playa Blanca this is by far our favourite. Beware of the sun loungers if you are planning to sight see because, once on them you'll find it difficult to leave. Kitchen equipped beyond any ones needs but if you fancy eating out locally we would recommend the Lighthouse just down the way,it's breakfasts are fantastic and the carvery is sooooo good. The towels are amazing, so heavy, ( very good move Cheryl, too heavy to get into my suitcase). Fell in love with Lanzarote on or first visit and would happily spend every holiday in this villa. Villa management is superb, friendly and attentive. Thank you to all, can't wait to return.

Carlara villa we have visited now for the third time! This time though was with our one year old baby so we had a few requirements. Just like the last two times we had been the owners in the UK Cheryl and Brian made sure that everything we needed was there from baby cot to hooded baby pool towelsand so much more... Then John and Jayne who look after the villa in lanzarote were hands on whenever you needed them. This villa is 5*! Everything from the Molton Brown hand wash through to the bath robes and luxury bed linen makes the stay extra special. The welcome pack is ideal (wine provided is lovely). The marble floors and quality of fittings are shown throughout. We took friends with us on the 2nd visit and they absolutely loved it too. There was enough room for the 6 of us with the two bathrooms and extra guest toilet as well you felt like you had more than enough space for everyone. The men took advantage of the X-Box. Outside is a fantastic al fresco dining area, we spent a lot of time out there using the amazing heated pool and very comfy sun loungers in the day and at night we used the large bbq facility, whilst having pleasant quiet surroundings all to ourselves, due to space between villas you feel like you are on your own. There is everything you could ask for at carlara to make your stay home from home and this is why we will take yet another visit next year. Cheryl has thought of everything to make your stay extreamly comfortable and so much more. On our last visit I was even able to use the equipment that was there to make my daughter baby food and store it in the tupperware containers provided which I forgot to pack! And I did not have to pack too many clothes as I knew the washer and drying facilities were also there, I even washed everything so I did not have to do it when I got home. Fantastic! I would truly recommend a stay here at Carlara villa. Very high quality & Luxurious with a home from home fee

Exceptionally beautiful villa!
Exceptionally beautiful villa! (I have stayed in quite many holiday villas elsewhere before for comparison). Feels and looks like a 'Million Dollar Villa'. Architecture, building style and materials, the marble floors for example, are just outstandingly nice. Nothing is cheap. You can find a hundred beautiful details. The furnitures are of the finest. Great entertainment with like 80 English TV-channels, plenty of DVD movies, Playing console, Stereosystem, books, magazines..Light and colours in the grand living room and kitchen are wonderful, the view from there over the garden towards the lighthouse, the sea and Fuerteventura is fantastic. And how great is it to sit in the very, very nice glassroof atrium. The pool is superb, wonderfully warm, you can always swim there at every time of the year. The grounds are huge with a very nice garden. Outdoor furniture is plentyful and of the best quality and style, too. Also, a really great service by great people there (the welcome package for example). I recommend this villa very, very much to everyone. Go and enjoy some true luxury in the sun!

This villa is one of the very best
We spent two very relaxing weeks in Carlara. We have been having villa holidays for a number of years and this villa is certainly one of the very best . It is in a lovely peaceful location, is beutifully furnished and extremely well equipped - the photographs don't do it justice in terms of the space and quality of Carlara. It is all the 'little' extras that make Carlara so good, the baathrobes and slippers, the luxury bedding and towels - which really are sumptuous - , the DVD collection etc. etc. etc. We would also have to say that all the communication with the owners and the attemtion from their team in Lanzarote was very helpful, friendly and made the holiday even more of a pleasure from the initial contact to our fortnight in Carlara. If you are considering staying in Playa Blanca then you must consider Carlara.

You could not wish for more - excellent!
A very good 3 bedroom, two and a half bathroom, incl master/en suite, privately owned villa in a quiet residential area with own heated pool, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, separate dining in an atrium, utility with washer & dryer. Outdoor Canarian BBQ, al fresco dining table/chairs under covered patio area with sun loungers - highly recommended. Full TV/Sky/DVD/CD games console and combo TV/DVD in all bedrooms. If you only want to 'chill' you are 10 mins walk from sea, maybe 20 mins to a beach and only 5 mins walk from an array of food and drink hostileies, mini supermarket(s), patisserie/ice cream, all serving a full variety of local and european food/drink. If you wish to 'see' Lanzarote hire a car, we however just opted for a lazy week and took a taxi from the airport - 35 mins and ~45 euros each way. There is a regular local modern bus service from the esplanade to and from Playa Blanca. A very friendly location with facilities mainly serviced by 'Brits'. On call villa managers who provide a well come pack to get you in - tea, coffee, sugar, bread, wine, marmalade etc. For 23 euros hire their dongle for IT access. Full and detailed instructions supplied by the owners prior to arrival. You could not wish for more - excellent!

Like a home from home
We had a wonderful holiday, despite the rain, we had 7 of the 16 days of rain for lanzarote during our week. The villa is very well equipped,it's was like a home from home. It felt very comfortable, which made the bad weather seem more bearable. The park was quite and well designed so you didn't feel that you were on top of the next villa. You do need car here, as the local restaurants and shops are basic. Thank you for a lovely time, in your beautiful villa.

We would recommend Carlara to anyone
We spent a wonderful week at Carlara in March. The drive from the airport only took us about 40 mins even in the dark and a little stressed from the flight(it was delayed!), but as soon as we entered the villa we were very impressed..large and spacious, beautifully decorated and a very much appreciated Welcome Pack.. tea, coffee, milk, cheese, ham, bread, butter..Wine&Beer!! that first evening we spent around the pool..under the fairy lights just taking it all in. The bed in the Master bedroom was the biggest and most comfy I've ever slept in..the next morning we wandered around in our complimentry robes and slippers! There's a parade of shops 2 mins walk away with a great bakery opens at 8am just right for breakfast pastries! you can take the coastal walk into Playa Blanca which is a delight passing shops cafes and bars on the way. Plenty of restaurants there but we only ate out twice.. why bother when we could BBQ at 'home' ! The pool was warm and to be honest we spent most of our time just lazing about around the villa but we did visit a very nice beach 5 mins drive away. The villa is equipped with DVD & video with loads of up to date videos to watch. We would recommend Carlara to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday and can't wait to go back. The weather was great 25C...
